Le Crobag was looking for a contemporary solution to modernize its brand image in high-traffic locations and communicate its offerings in a flexible, clear, and effective manner. The challenge was to develop a solution that could be integrated into a wide variety of locations while ensuring a consistent look and feel across the entire branch network.
Together with Wedeko, a digital signage concept was developed that is deliberately designed for scalability. Instead of individual, isolated installations, a rolling overall system was created in which new locations are continuously connected. Hardware, software, and content production are seamlessly integrated, centrally controlled, and provided from a single source.
The stores mainly use configurations consisting of three to four displays with reduced frames, some of which are installed across corners. This arrangement creates a strong long-distance effect and draws attention to the product range in a targeted manner.
The displays show dynamic, animated content, ranging from seasonal offers and classic baked goods to vegetarian options. Design and content creation are handled by Bütema's in-house agency team.
A striking example of the flexibility of the concept is Le Crobag's first veggie store in Cologne Central Station. Eight 37-inch stretch displays were installed there, blending harmoniously into the new green store concept with its wooden front. Wedeko developed the animated menu and visual content for the purely vegan and vegetarian range.
The project demonstrates how digital signage can be strategically conceived in the catering environment: as a scalable overall concept rather than an individual measure. The combination of standardized technology, centralized content, and continuous expansion exemplifies the solution approach of Bütema and Wedeko.
