The town of Aichtal has taken a major step forward in terms of citizen information—with a digital signage system that impresses both indoors and outdoors. The newly installed screens ensure that citizens are kept informed about important news, events, and services at all times and in a centralized manner.
Two 49-inch high-brightness displays with outdoor protective housings were integrated into the existing street furniture directly in front of the town hall—in a location where many people pass by every day: the mailboxes. Thanks to their seamless integration, the devices remain discreet in the cityscape, but are clearly visible at all times due to their location and brightness.
Thanks to their vandal-proof design and automatic brightness adjustment, the devices are ideal for continuous use in public spaces – even in direct sunlight or bad weather.

Inside the town hall, two additional screens provide a pleasant way to convey information. Visitors now have the opportunity to find out about the latest news from the city administration, opening hours, forms, or upcoming events, especially in the waiting area.
A special highlight: an 86-inch screen that has been elegantly integrated into the acoustic wall. The integration not only blends in perfectly with the architecture of the building, but also meets functional requirements in terms of acoustics and visibility. Content can be displayed in an accessible manner and maintained centrally, ensuring that everything is always up to date.

The project in Aichtal demonstrates once again how effectively digital signage can be used in municipal buildings and outdoor areas. The displays combine functionality with design, are robust and easy to manage – and thus create real added value for both the administration and citizens.
