A new chapter for Bütema and the entire group of companies
On December 12, 2025, Lutz Hollmann-Raabe officially took over as CEO of Bütema AG. He now has overall operational and strategic responsibility for the retail specialist based in Bietigheim-Bissingen and will lead the company into its next phase of development together with his fellow board member Patrick Schiller (CTO).
Lutz Hollmann-Raabe has been part of Bütema AG since 2018. After serving as Sales Director, he took on responsibility for operations and sales as COO and CSO in 2021. During this time, he has played a key role in shaping Bütema's strategic growth and technological development.
His goal as CEO: "To continue the successful course of recent years, tap into new market segments, and further expand our digital solutions for POS and municipal applications."
With the change in leadership, Dirk Frintrop, founder and former CEO, is stepping down from operational business—but will remain with the company as Chairman of the Supervisory Board. His role will focus on the strategic direction and long-term development of Bütema AG.
An important part of this strategic development is the integration of Wedeko GmbH, which has been part of the Bütema Group since March 2025. Wedeko brings with it many years of expertise in digital signage for cities, retail, food retailers, and gas stations, and perfectly complements the portfolio of Bütema AG.
The merger strengthens the shared vision: to design digital customer touchpoints in an innovative, reliable, and customized way—whether at the point of sale, in public spaces, or in specific industry applications.
With a new CEO at the helm, a dedicated team, and an expanded group of companies, Bütema AG is ideally positioned to continue offering its customers comprehensive solutions comprising hardware, software, and services— all "Made in Germany, " with high quality and personalized support.
