Die Carolus Thermen in Aachen haben ihre Besucherkommunikation umfassend digitalisiert. Gemeinsam mit Wedeko, eine Marke der Bütema AG, wurde ein standortübergreifendes Digital Signage System realisiert, das relevante Informationen im gesamten Thermenbereich strukturiert und aktuell bereitstellt.
As a popular leisure and wellness destination, the Carolus Thermen face the challenge of providing visitors with a wealth of information about its facilities, services, and procedures.
Analog information solutions offered only limited flexibility and were unable to display dynamic content—such as events or daily updates—with the necessary speed. At the same time, the solution needed to blend seamlessly into the spa’s elegant architecture and atmosphere.
Wedeko developed a comprehensive digital signage concept for the various areas of the spa. The goal was to strategically place information points and enable centralized control of all content.
The focus was on a solution that guides visitors throughout their visit—from the entrance area through the changing rooms and pool areas to the dining and spa areas. (Internal link: Digital Signage, Digital Menu Boards)
Im Eingangsbereich sowie im Beckenbereich wurden zentrale Informationsdisplays installiert, die Besuchern Orientierung bieten und aktuelle Inhalte bereitstellen.
In addition, two more displays have been installed in the changing rooms to provide additional instructions and information. Information screens are also in use at the Carolus Spa, extending the system to other areas of the facility.
A digital menu board was installed in the bistro to display the daily menu and specials in a flexible and up-to-date manner. In addition, a digital display was installed outside the restaurant to make information visible even from outside the dining area.
All systems are centrally managed through the content management system. This makes it easy to maintain content, make quick updates, and deploy it across all locations.
Today, the digital signage system ensures consistent, clearly structured visitor information throughout the spa. Guests receive relevant information exactly where they need it, making it easier for them to find their way around.
The central control system makes it possible to update content quickly and efficiently and to respond flexibly to operational changes. At the same time, the solution contributes to the spa’s modern, high-quality overall appearance.
The project demonstrates how digital signage can be strategically deployed in a sophisticated leisure and wellness setting to improve information flow and enhance the visitor experience.
The combination of a comprehensive information infrastructure, centralized control, and seamless integration into the architecture exemplifies Wedeko’s approach.
