Brief description

Modern digital menu boards were installed at Circus Krone in Munichin collaboration with Wedeko, a brand of Bütema AG. The solution replaces traditional light boxes and enables a flexible, centrally controlled presentation of dishes and special offers in the restaurant setting.

Initial situation & challenge

The static light boxes used to date could no longer meet the requirements for timeliness, flexibility, and design. Making changes to the product lineup was very time-consuming, and creating a modern visual presentation was only possible to a limited extent.

The goal was to find a solution that would allow for quick content updates, integrate seamlessly into the existing environment, and at the same time reflect Circus Krone’s design standards.

Wedeko's solution approach

Wedeko developed a tailor-made digital signage concept for the food service industry. The focus was on combining a clearly structured menu navigation system, an appealing design, and easy content management.

The spatial conditions were analyzed and optimal display locations were identified as early as the conceptual design phase. This formed the basis for a well-thought-out overall concept that takes into account both functional and design requirements.

The content is managed centrally via the digital signage software and can be updated independently by Circus Krone.

implementation

The first step involved a detailed on-site analysis to ensure that the integration of the digital menu boards was optimally tailored to the existing infrastructure. Based on this analysis, visualizations were created that realistically depicted the future implementation and served as a basis for decision-making.

At the same time, Wedeko’s graphic design team developed a custom content and design concept. The goal was to create a clear, easy-to-navigate menu structure combined with a visual design that matches the character of Circus Krone.

The displays were then installed, and the entire system was put into operation. Since then, the menu boards have been centrally controllable and can be flexibly adapted to changing offerings or events.

Results & Added Value

Today, digital menu boards enable significantly more efficient and flexible communication of offerings. Content can be updated at short notice without the need for physical adjustments.

Visitors benefit from a clearly structured, easy-to-read presentation of the offerings, while at the same time the visual quality and modernity of the dining area are significantly enhanced.

For Circus Krone, this creates a system that supports daily operations and can be quickly adapted for special events.

classification

The project demonstrates how digital signage can be strategically deployed in the food service industry to streamline processes while enhancing the presentation at the point of sale.

The combination of thoughtful planning, custom design, and centralized control exemplifies Wedeko’s approach.
