A digital solution was implemented for the Eningen unter Achalm parish to facilitate modern communication in public and parish settings. An outdoor kiosk and an indoor information display now enable flexible and up-to-date information sharing with parishioners, visitors, and residents.
The parish faced the challenge of providing information—such as events, church services, and announcements—in an efficient and timely manner. Traditional bulletin boards were time-consuming to maintain and only provided limited up-to-date information.
The goal was to find a solution that would work both outdoors and indoors, be easy to use, and allow for flexible content updates regardless of location. At the same time, the systems had to meet requirements for weather resistance, security, and continuous operation.

Wedeko, a brand of Bütema AG, developed a concept that connects various information points and covers both outdoor and indoor areas.
The focus was on a combination of a rugged outdoor digital display located between the church and the parish hall, along with a complementary indoor information display. Both systems can be controlled centrally, allowing for quick and easy content updates.

As part of the project, a digital display was installed outdoors, strategically positioned at a heavily trafficked crossing point. In addition, an information display was installed indoors.
The systems used are specifically designed for continuous operation. They feature rugged enclosures that protect against weather conditions such as rain, snow, heat, and frost, as well as external factors such as dust and vandalism. Integrated cooling and heating modules ensure stable operation throughout all seasons.
The displays are designed to be highly bright, ensuring that content remains clearly legible even in direct sunlight. The ability to display content in portrait or landscape orientation allows for flexible adaptation to the location and content.

Today, church congregations can publish information in real time and manage it centrally. Content can be flexibly adapted without the need for on-site physical effort.
By placing these displays in public spaces, they also reach people who do not have direct access to digital media. At the same time, visitors and congregation members benefit from a clearly structured source of information that is always up to date.
The systems support continuous, reliable communication and help to sustainably increase the visibility of offerings and events.
The project demonstrates how digital information systems can be effectively utilized in church and community settings. The combination of robust technology, user-friendly operation, and centralized control provides a practical solution that works effectively in day-to-day operations over the long term and can be flexibly adapted as needs evolve.
