At the Kocherbad Oberkochen, a comprehensive digital signage concept was implemented in collaboration with Wedeko, a brand of Bütema AG, which effectively combines visitor information, wayfinding, and the overall visitor experience. The solution integrates seamlessly into the pool’s architecture and enables centralized, flexible control of all content.
The Kocherbad faced the challenge of providing information to different visitor groups in a way that was clear, up-to-date, and visually appealing. Opening hours, prices, special offers, and notices needed to be easily customizable and displayed consistently at various points throughout the facility.
Analog solutions such as posters or bulletin boards were too static, required too much maintenance, and offered limited design flexibility. Therefore, the goal was to find a system that was both functionally effective and aligned with the facility’s design aesthetic.

Wedeko developed a comprehensive digital signage concept that was strategically placed along the visitor routes throughout the spa. The goal was to provide information exactly where it is needed—from the entrance area through the reception desk to the sauna area.
The solution combines high-quality display technology, customized housing integration, and centralized content management via the software platform
(Internal link: Digital Signage Software).
Particular emphasis was placed on the design integration into the architectural surroundings as well as on ease of use during operation.

In the entrance area, a large 86-inch display has been integrated into a custom-made wooden enclosure. It serves as a central information point for hours of operation, prices, and current announcements, and makes a strong first impression as visitors enter the pool.
An information board consisting of three 55-inch displays with minimal bezels was installed in the reception area, clearly consolidating special offers and up-to-date information. Its placement right at the reception desk ensures that visitors can easily access relevant content without any extra effort.
In addition, another 55-inch display was installed in the sauna area, also integrated into a high-quality wooden frame. It provides specific information about services and helps guests find their way around the area without disturbing the peaceful atmosphere.
All content is managed centrally via the digital signage software. Different user groups—including employees and external partners such as clubs—can independently manage content based on their roles.
In addition, the Wedeko agency team developed custom screen designs that are visually aligned with the Kocherbad brand identity and support clear, consistent user navigation.
Today, the Kocherbad features a comprehensive, digitally controlled information system that delivers content in a flexible, up-to-date, and targeted manner.
Visitors benefit from clearly structured information and improved wayfinding throughout the facility. At the same time, the manual effort required to maintain content is significantly reduced.
The central control system enables quick adjustments in the event of changes to opening hours, offerings, or events and ensures that all content is displayed consistently and up-to-date.
The design integration of the displays also creates a harmonious overall look that blends functionality and architecture.
The project demonstrates how digital signage can be strategically deployed in municipal recreational and swimming facilities to modernize information processes while meeting design requirements.
The combination of centralized control, a clearly defined information architecture, and high-quality integration into the space exemplifies the approach taken by Wedeko, a brand of Bütema AG.
